Prize Crew Detachment members had sleeping quarters aboard Soc Trang Army Airfield. When TET occurred Prize Crew Det members had to make themselves safer during VC mortar attacks. Shown in the picture is one of the Lockheed Missile Space Center people assigned Prize Crew Det digging a 'foxhole' just outside his 1st floor quarters. When the base siren would start wailing, his 'foxhole' was close. Several times the aircrews flying the QT-2PC were prevented from landing at Soc Trang because the base was under mortar attack.
